Apple users spent record $1.8 bn on apps during last week of 2020

<p>Apple consumers spent a record $1.8 bn on the App Store during the last week of 2020, an increase from $1.42 bn in the same period of 2019. Most of the purchasing happened between Christmas and New Year and went to games. 1 Jan set a single-day spending record of $540 mn, breaking the last record of $386 mn in 2020. Zoom and Disney+ were the most downloaded app. Apple has paid $200 bn to developers, up from $155 bn a year ago.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
