Bharti Airtel pays Rs 8312.4 Cr to DoT for 5G spectrum

<p>Bharti Airtel has made a payment to the DoT of Rs. 8312.4 Cr to settle obligations for the spectrum purchased in the recently finished 5G auctions. Instead of paying the 20 equal annual installments, Airtel chose to pay four years&#39; worth of the 2022 spectrum fees upfront. Reliance Jio is thought to have paid its first installment of Rs 7864 Cr, and Adani Data Networks has reportedly paid Rs 18.94 Cr.</p>
