Block inc to build open-source mining system

<p>Jack Dorsey, CEO of Block Inc, said that the fintech firm is building an open bitcoin mining system. Block, formerly known as Square,&nbsp;looks to expand beyond its payment business. Dorsey stated that Block was considering developing a bitcoin mining system based on custom silicon and open source for individuals and businesses all over the world. Block&#39;s GM for hardware, Thomas Templeton, laid out the company&#39;s plans about building the mining system in a tweet thread.&nbsp;</p>
