Block's Afterpay smartphone partnership with Westpac ends

<p>Westpac Banking Corp. of Australia and Afterpay halted their partnership when Afterpay canceled a mobile app it was jointly developing with the bank. Following Block&#39;s $29B acquisition earlier this year, buy-now-pay-later king Afterpay announced it has instead chosen to integrate its products into the &quot;ecosystem&quot; of its new owner. It entailed shutting down the personal finance app operated by the third-largest Australian bank.</p>
