Boeing to outsource IT work to Dell, eliminating 10% IT staff

<p>Boeing would outsource its IT work including support of cloud services and databases to Dell from April, eliminating 600 jobs or 10% of the total IT staff. Boeing shed 20,000 jobs in 2020 and might need to cut 11,000 more in 2021. &quot;The aim is to increase the efficiency, simplify operations and advance our digital transformation,&quot; said Susan Doniz, VP for IT and data analytics of Boeing. Employees can either find different work within Boeing, apply in Dell or be laid off.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
