Cloudflare buys Area 1 Security for $162 M

<p>Cloudflare announced that they will be acquiring Area 1 security for $162M with half of it being paid in shares. Area 1 has a cloud-native platform for protection against phishing emails which was the primary reason for the acquisition. CEO of Cloudflare, Matthew Prince, said that Area 1 Security will help their platform and stand out as the clear leader in Zero Trust. He added that this deal will help their customers to better secure their network infrastructure.</p>
