COAI Says OTT Platforms Must Pay Telecom Companies for Using Their Network: Report

<p>The telecom industry group Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) said that in exchange for using the services, OTT platforms must contribute to the creation and development of digital telecom infrastructure in India as per a media source. The organisation has proposed charging a &quot;usage fee&quot; for actual traffic carried by OTT on telecom networks. According to the Economic Times, the usage charge will be decided mutually by telcos and OTT players.</p>
