Coinbase claims it is blocking 25K crypto addresses linked to Russia

<p>Coinbase has announced that it is currently blocking 25,000 cryptocurrency addresses linked to Russian people or entities, in response to claims that Russia could use cryptocurrency to evade sanctions. The company didn&#39;t say when they were blocked or how many of the restrictions were linked to current sanctions, for example, Coinbase cited a 2020 sanction against a specific Russian citizen with 1,200 potentially linked accounts in one instance.</p>
