COVID-19 impact: Google’s quarterly revenue decline first time in 20 years

<p>Google reported a decline in its revenue for the first time in 20 years. The COVID-19 outbreak impacted its ad revenues, summing up the total Q2 revenue to $38.3 B (2% decline compared to the same quarter last year). Net income fell to $7B from $9.9B. Search revenue dropped to $21.3B this year to $23.6B last year. However, YouTube advertising improved; growing from $3.6B to $3.8B. The tech giant, despite the decline, performed better than analysts expected.</p>
