Covid-19 pandemic saw data breach expenses reach record high

<p>Average expenses incurred due to data breaches have now reached $4 mn, a record high during the pandemic. An IBM report said that a firm may incur an average cost of $4.24 mn per incident for involving records between 1,000-100,000 which is 10% higher than 2020. Mega breaches involving 50 mn to 65mn records have also reached a mark of $401 mn per incident. Compromised credentials were the most common attack method.<br /> <br /> <br /> &nbsp;</p>
