Critical Vulnerabilities in Ubuntu Linux Allow Kernel Exploitation

Researchers at Qualys Threat Research Unit have identified three significant vulnerabilities in Ubuntu Linux that bypass unprivileged user namespace restrictions. These flaws, present in Ubuntu 23.10 and 24.04, could enable local attackers to exploit kernel components when combined with other vulnerabilities. Qualys has collaborated with the Ubuntu Security Team to address these issues and offers mitigation tools to assist organizations in protecting their systems. ​
