DOJ Pushes Google To Sell Chrome To Address Monopoly Concerns
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has proposed that Google sell its Chrome browser as part of measures to address its dominance in the search and advertising markets. This follows an August ruling that deemed Google an illegal monopoly. The DOJ argues that divesting Chrome will foster competition, but Google strongly opposes, calling the proposal excessive and harmful to its ecosystem.
