Infosys Lays Off 240 Trainees After Assessment; Offers Upskilling Support

Infosys has terminated 240 trainees from its apprenticeship program after they failed to meet the qualifying criteria in the 'Generic Foundation Training Programme,' despite additional preparation time, doubt-clearing sessions, and three attempts. The company is providing one month's salary and outplacement assistance to the affected individuals. Additionally, Infosys is offering free upskilling programs through partnerships with NIIT and UpGrad.
