Electric Capital raises $1 billion to invest in crypto firms, buy tokens

<p>On Tuesday, Electric Capital announced that it had completed a $1B deal for two crypto funds. A $400M vehicle for making equity investments in startups and a $600M fund to invest directly in crypto tokens. With this round of funding, the Palo Alto-based fund joins the ranks of larger organisations like as Andreessen Horowitz, which closed a $2.2B crypto fund in June, and crypto VC Paradigm, which launched a $2.5B fund in November.</p>
