European telecoms companies ask US to help fund network costs

<p>CEOs of Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, and 11 other European telecoms firms said that the US tech giants should bear the development cost of telecoms networks. The US tech giants use the EU telecoms networks heavily, added the CEOs. The call by the CEOs was made because the companies faced massive investments for 5G, fiber, and cable networks to cope up with data and cloud services provided by Netflix and Google, YouTube, and Facebook.<br /> &nbsp;</p>
