Facebook to redesign public pages, drops 'likes' button

<p>Facebook has dropped the &ldquo;likes&rdquo; button from its redesigned public pages utilised by artists, public figures and brands. Facebook removed likes to focus on followers and have a dedicated News Feed for users to easily join conversations, interact with peers. &ldquo;We are removing Likes and focusing on Followers to simplify the way people connect with their favourite Pages,&rdquo; Facebook said about the redesign.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
