Fitbit Charged in Australia for Deceiving Customers About Defective Products

<p>Fitbit LLC is being sued by Australia's competition regulator for allegedly deceiving customers about their warranty rights for defective products, the company announced. According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), Fitbit claimed users would not be eligible for a refund between May 2020 and February 2022 unless they returned a defective product within 45 days of purchase or shipment, which is against Australian Consumer Law.</p>
