Google CEO Sundar Pichai didn't want incognito mode issues under the spotlight

<p>Users filed a lawsuit in June last year, which alleged that Google tracked user data even in Incognito mode, while Google states that it had made clear that Incognito only stops data from being stored on the user devices. Sundar Pichai, Google CEO, was advised in 2019 to remove the description &quot;private&quot; from Incognito, as it promotes misconceptions, but chose not to do it, as it would put a spotlight on Incognito and Google&#39;s existing problems.</p>
