Google retracts offers to thousands of contract and temp workers 

<p>Considering the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the falling economy, Google has decided to recant offers to more than 2000 contractual and temporary hires. Most of Google&rsquo;s workforce comprises of temporary employees aka TVC&rsquo;s (temps, vendors, contractors). The tech-giant, in March, said that it will be paying them hourly. Workers with retracted offers weren&rsquo;t onboarded hence they were let go without financial compensation.</p>
