Government Has Granted Infrastructure Status To Data Centres With Capacity Over 5MW

<p>Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister said in the budget speech that the government has granted the status of infrastructure to data centers with IT load exceeding 5MW capacity. This will help them to have easier access to institutional credits at lower rates and attract foreign investments with many others. The capacity of data centers is measured in terms of the power they consume. This reflects the scale of the server they are hosting in their facilities.</p>
