India and US Forge AI Partnership, Leveraging Complementary Strengths

Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized that India and the US possess complementary strengths in artificial intelligence (AI), combining India's talent, diverse data, and a decade-long co-creation spirit. Speaking at the Raisina Dialogue, Vaishnaw highlighted India's ambition to develop its own large language model and AI infrastructure, including a 14,000 GPU compute facility, aiming for AI self-reliance within 3-4 years.
