Intel delays opening of Ohio factory as Congress deliberates CHIPS Act

<p>Although the firm stated the bill must pass "so we can go forward at the speed and scale we have long envisioned for Ohio," Intel still intends to start working on the project before the year is up. Due to the continuous postponement of the CHIPS Act, a $52 B funding plan for domestic chip manufacturing, Intel indicated that the groundbreaking of its Ohio semiconductor factory would be postponed. Intel plans to begin the project before the year's end.</p>
