Intel wants to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040
<p>Intel stated that it will attain net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 in its global operations. The chipmaker wants to meet this objective by using 100% renewable electricity across its global operations and investing $300M in energy conservation at its sites, saving 4B kilowatt-hours in total. The firm also wants to construct new "green" factories and facilities and begin a cross-industry R&D project to seek greener chemicals with lower global warming potential.<br /> </p>
