Kerala launches fibre optic network to provide free internet access to BPL families

<p>To bridge the digital divide by providing high-speed, affordable internet connectivity to every household, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan launched the Kerala Fibre Optic Network in the state. With KFON, free internet connectivity will be provided to 20 lakh BPL families, villages in over 14 districts and about 30,000 govt institutions will have high bandwidth connectivity. KFON is part of the Kerala govt&#39;s effort to provide a digital infrastructure in the state.&nbsp;</p>
