McAfee splits security service edge business into new entity named Skyhigh Security

<p>Last year, Symphony Technology Group(STG) acquired McAfee Enterprise and FireEye, which would be merged into a single entity called Trellix. The STG said that Trellix will not include all of McAfee Enterprise. The rest of the portfolio, which includes security services on the edge, will now be known as Skyhigh Security. STG added that splitting McAfee Enterprise into two businesses will help it to better focus on distinct markets of threat detection and response.</p>
