Meta Plans Significant Layoffs this Week: Report

<p>With plans to fire thousands of employees this week, Facebook parent company Meta will join a growing list of digital companies that have reduced their workforces. When announcing Meta&#39;s dismal third-quarter results, CEO Mark Zuckerberg predicted that the company&#39;s workforce will not grow by the end of 2023 and would perhaps slightly decline. In the third quarter, Meta&#39;s profits dropped to $4.4 billion, a 52 percent year-over-year decline.</p>
