Microsoft adds fifth Azure cloud region in China

<p>Microsoft has now added a fifth Azure region in China to its lineup and claims that the new North China area in Hebei increases the capacity of its cloud portfolio. The company said in 2012 that it would deliver Azure in China through its partner 21ViaNet. In 2014, the first two Azure regions in China opened, offering not just Azure but also Office 365, Dynamics 365, and the Power Platform. Microsoft is the first foreign public cloud service that is widely available in China.</p>
