Microsoft Co-Founder's Art Collection is Expected to Bring in Record $1B at New York Auction

<p>Paul Allen, the late co-founder of Microsoft, is likely to garner $1B for his collection of artwork (AFP). Auctioneers originally revealed the collection's approximate value in October. It consists of 150 works of art by famous artists like Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin, and Jasper Johns. The collection is the most costly to ever be put up for auction. As stated in Allen's will, the collection's earnings will be given to charity.</p>
