Microsoft to adopt new “Open App Store” policies in wake of Activision-Blizzard deal

<p>Last month, news of Microsoft acquiring Activision-Blizzard came to light. At $68.7B it would be the biggest deal in the industry. The deal looks poorly timed as regulators in the US have their eyes on firms like Apple, Google, and Meta. The FTC has already announced that they will review this deal. MS President Brad Smith wrote in a blog post that they will set new &ldquo;open app store principles&rdquo; as it plans to buy a slew of the world&rsquo;s most popular gaming titles.</p>
