Moscow tells foreign tech firms to set up offices in Russia or face ban

<p>Roskomnadzor, Russia&#39;s state communications regulator said that 13 foreign technology companies will be officially represented on Russian soil by the end of 2021 or face outright bans. The listed companies were US tech giants like Alphabet&#39;s Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Any foreign social media giants with more than 500,000 daily users are obliged to open offices in Russia, as a part of a new law that came into effect on July 1.<br /> &nbsp;</p>
