Mozilla Acquires California-based productivity startup Pulse

<p>Mozilla, the company behind Firefox, is making a rare step into the world of mergers and acquisitions with the revelation that it has acquired Pulse, a recently shut down productivity startup in California. The acquisition, which is essentially an "acqui-hire," hasn't been revealed yet, but Mozilla plans to use the Pulse team for a variety of machine learning initiatives. “We’re acquiring Pulse for the incredible team they have built,” Mozilla CPO Steve Teixeira said.</p>
