Mozilla Acquires California-based productivity startup Pulse

<p>Mozilla, the company behind Firefox, is making a rare step into the world of mergers and acquisitions with the revelation that it has acquired Pulse, a recently shut down productivity startup in California. The acquisition, which is essentially an &quot;acqui-hire,&quot; hasn&#39;t been revealed yet, but Mozilla plans to use the Pulse team for a variety of machine learning initiatives. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re acquiring Pulse for the incredible team they have built,&rdquo; Mozilla CPO Steve Teixeira said.</p>
