Non-Engineer Hiring gets boost as IT firms scramble to overcome talent shortfall

<p>Indian IT firms are expected to expand non-IT hiring, as they look for solutions to tackle the talent shortfall. Tech industry firms usually hire about 5% of Non-Engineering graduates, but with rising demand and attrition rates, this rate is expected to double. The industry is expected to hire 160,000 to 200,000 freshers in the coming year, which will be the highest in the recent past as pandemics sped up digitalisation in many firms.</p>
