Parliamentary committee advises Indian govt to ban all VPNs

<p>The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs has deemed that Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are a threat to cyber-security and allow for nefarious activities on the internet. It has advised the Indian government to ban VPNs in India. With VPNs relatively easy to download, they allow criminals to remain anonymous online, and should hence be restricted with the help of ISPs, the committee said.</p>
