Paytm Payments Bank signs up as acquiring partner for e-RUPI service

<p>Paytm Payments Bank announced that it had joined the government's e-RUPI vouchers initiative as an official acquiring partner. The bank has teamed up with One97 Communications, the parent company of Paytm, to make use of the latter's merchant base. Paytm retailers will be allowed to accept payments via e-RUPI as a result of this. e-RUPI is a cashless prepaid voucher that users can present through SMS or QR Code. Paytm has a merchant base of almost 25M at present<br /> .</p>
