Qualcomm expects substantial growth as China smartphone demand soars

<p>Qualcomm has exceeded the initial forecast of analysts to post record first-quarter revenue. As per IBES data, the company now forecasts around $10B-$11B in the second quarter which is more than the $9.6B estimated by analysts. The main contributing factor to high demand in China is the exit of Huawei. This has enabled other players in the market like Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi to partner with Qualcomm and tap in on this high demand.</p>
