RailTel to implement state-of-the-art communication system in tunnels

<p>RailTel, in the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla section of Northern Railway, will be implementing a state-of-the-art technology to provide uninterrupted communication inside tunnels. The train operations are often hampered due to poor signal inside the tunnels. The new system will enable an uninterrupted link from inside tunnels to the base station. VHF simplex, the integrated tunnel communication system costs Rs 86.90 cr.<br /> &nbsp;</p>
