<p>A revised version of the Data Protection Bill, which is intended to allow data transfer and storage in &quot;trusted geographies,&quot; may provide some relief to big tech giants like Meta Inc and Alphabet Inc. The government&#39;s attitude on data localisation differs dramatically from the previous version of the Bill, in which data was classified as personal, sensitive, or critical. It further stated that certain types of data would be required to be stored in the country.</p>
