Remote hamlet gets internet beamed by Elon Musk's satellites

<p>One of the two places chosen for Elon Musk&#39;s project to receive free internet for a year is the hamlet of Sotomo, 1000kms south of the capital Santiago, Chile. Accessible only by boat, it will receive internet beamed through Musk&#39;s Starlink satellites. Signal will be received by a satellite dish and transmitted through WiFi to local devices. It is a significant upgrade on the local patchy mobile data.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
