Samsung develops high-bandwidth memory chip with having AI processing

<p>Samsung has developed a high-bandwidth memory integrated with AI processing power. The new processing-in-memoryarchitecture adds AI engines into Samsung&#39;s HBM2 Aquabolt, which was launched in 2018. New chip will accelerate large scale processing in data centres, high-performance computing systems, and AI-enabled mobile apps. The HBM-PIM uses the same HBM interface which means customers need not change hardware/ software to apply it into existing systems.<br /> &nbsp;</p>
