Samsung records record quarterly chip revenue at $20.3B: Research firm Omdia

<p>Samsung and Intel have been at loggerheads concerning their positions in the global market share of chips. In a recent report by research firm Omdia, Samsung recorded a record high revenue from chips of $20.3B in April-June, leaving Intel at a distant second position with $14.8B in chip revenue in the same period. Samsung&rsquo;s market share grew slightly from 12.5% in the last quarter, while Intel&rsquo;s market share fell from 11.1% to 9.4% in the last quarter.</p>
