Sandes, desi alternative to WhatsApp, being tested by officials

<p>A desi alternative of Whatsapp named &#39;Sandes&#39;, which means &#39;message&#39;, is being tested by govt officials in India, at present. &nbsp;There is, however, no information regarding the rollout of the app, which provides all the features that any instant messaging app has. The National Informatics Centre, a branch under the Ministry of Electronics and IT is said to be handling the backend of the App, which is available for both iOS and Android platforms.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
