SBI appoints Nitin Chugh as Deputy Managing Director digital banking group

<p>Nitin Chugh has been appointed as deputy managing director of SBI&#39;s digital banking group. Chugh was previously the MD and CEO of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank and the head of HDFC Bank&#39;s digital banking division. His hiring comes as the country&#39;s largest lender aims to grow digital lending and promotes its Yono app aggressively. He has been appointed for an initial term of three years. Chugh quit the Ujjivan Small Finance Bank in September last year, citing personal reasons.</p>
