Spike in adoption lifts FASTag's toll collection past Rs 33K Cr
<p>The use of fastags by travelers in the nation has seen a notable increase following the declaration of all lanes of toll plazas on NHs as FASTag Lanes. Fastag penetration increased dramatically from about 16% in 2017–18 to 96.3% in 2021–22. Rs 21,948Cr were collected in tolls overall in 2017–18, including Rs 3532Cr through fastags. Toll collecting using fastags rose dramatically in 2021–2022 t Rs 34,535B, of which Rs 33,274B of that came from fastag.</p>
