Tata in Talks to Buy Plant from Apple Vendor; Layoffs and Recession Fears May Affect IIT Packages

<p>Tata Group attempts to benefit on the backlash against China in order to lure Apple and other smartphone firms to relocate to India. The Tata Group has began talks with Taipei&#39;s Wistron Corp, one of the top three Apple sellers in India, to purchase its single production facility in Karnataka for Rs 4,000-5,000 crore. If the purchase is completed, it will assist the conglomerate in expanding Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd (TEPL) precise engineering production capabilities.</p>
