Tata’s Nelco Applies For License To Offer Satellite Broadband Services

<p>Nelco, a member of the Tata Group, has submitted an application for the Global Mobile Personal Communication by Satellite (GMPCS) license, making it the fourth business in India to do so. This indicates increased interest in a young market with tremendous development potential. The government has so far granted licenses to Elon Musk-owned SpaceX and Bharti Group-backed OneWeb as well as the satellite division of Reliance Jio Infocomm.</p>
