Thales of France establishes a Google-powered cloud services company

<p>In collaboration with Google, the French defence corporation Thales has founded a new company called S3NS to provide state-approved cloud computing services for the storing of some of the nation&#39;s most sensitive data. The partnership between Thales and the Alphabet business, which was finalised last year, was the outcome of a government initiative whereby France acknowledged the US&#39;s technological dominance.</p>
