TikTok CEO Says US Data Protection Is 'Solvable Problem'
<p>TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew conducted a rare public interview today at The New York Times's DealBook conference, telling interviewer Andrew Ross Sorkin that he is "responsible for all of TikTok's strategic choices." He also explains how the US data will be kept out of China. The answer is "Project Texas," in which TikTok will migrate its data from Virginia and Singapore to a new Oracle cloud infrastructure in the US, which will be accessible exclusively to a team of US citizens.</p>
