TikTok Hiring While Major US Tech Businesses Lay Off Employees

<p>TikTok is expanding its workforce as Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon are laying off thousands of employees. TikTok CEO Shou Chew announced this week that his company, unlike many of his American-based social media peers, is hiring. TikTok is run by China-based ByteDance, and the platform has enormous hopes for its company in the United States. According to the tech website The Information, TikTok is looking to expand its personnel in California to over 2,000 people.</p>
