To comply with India's new IT rules, Twitter starts hiring executives

<p>Twitter Inc has said that its India unit has appointed an interim CCO and will soon designate two more executives to comply with new IT rules. Indian govt said in a court that Twitter no longer has liability protection against user-generated content in India as it has failed to comply with the new rules. The rift between Twitter and Indian authorities has escalated after the cops had filed five cases against the microblogging site.</p>
