Top ten semiconductor buyers increased chip spending by 25%: Report

<p>In the face of a global chip shortage, the top 10 semiconductor buyers increased their chip spending by 25.%, accounting for 42.1% of the total market, according to a new Gartner report. In 2021, Apple remained the top semiconductor spending customer, increasing its spending on memory by 36.8% and non-memory chips by 20.2%. Samsung Electronics increased its memory spending by 34.1% while decreasing its non-memory chip spending by 23.9%.</p>
